Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

Responsibilities

• Provide direct client care in 1:1 and group settings using intensive teaching and natural environment training
• Follow prescribed behavioral skill acquisition and behavior reduction protocols per the individualized treatment plan
• Collect, record, and summarize data on observable client behavior
• Assist with parent and caregiver training aligned with treatment protocols
• Ensure documentation is completed on time and communicate progress to parents/caregivers as directed by BCBA/BC
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized therapy environment
• Assist BCBA/BC with preparing client materials, assessments, and skill acquisition plans

Requirements

• Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification from the BACB
• High school diploma or GED
• Reliable transportation
• At least 18 years of age
• Willing to obtain CPR, First Aid, and annual tuberculosis (TB) test
• Ability to perform physical duties, including lifting up to 50 lbs, kneeling, standing, and moving quickly as needed for client safety
• Strong attention to detail and ability to carry out detailed instructions precisely
• Proficiency with technology to record data on mobile devices and navigate digital applications
• Good written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience as a Behavioral Technician, Teacher's Aid, Tutor, CNA, Caregiver, or Home Health Aide
• Experience working with children with autism or other learning disabilities
