About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide direct client care in 1:1 and group settings using intensive teaching and natural environment training
- Follow prescribed behavioral skill acquisition and behavior reduction protocols per the individualized treatment plan
- Collect, record, and summarize data on observable client behavior
- Assist with parent and caregiver training aligned with treatment protocols
- Ensure documentation is completed on time and communicate progress to parents/caregivers as directed by BCBA/BC
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized therapy environment
- Assist BCBA/BC with preparing client materials, assessments, and skill acquisition plans
Requirements
- Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification from the BACB
- High school diploma or GED
- Reliable transportation
- At least 18 years of age
- Willing to obtain CPR, First Aid, and annual tuberculosis (TB) test
- Ability to perform physical duties, including lifting up to 50 lbs, kneeling, standing, and moving quickly as needed for client safety
- Strong attention to detail and ability to carry out detailed instructions precisely
- Proficiency with technology to record data on mobile devices and navigate digital applications
- Good written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience as a Behavioral Technician, Teacher's Aid, Tutor, CNA, Caregiver, or Home Health Aide
- Experience working with children with autism or other learning disabilities
