Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

Responsibilities

• Provide direct 1:1 and group ABA therapy using intensive teaching and natural environment training
• Follow behavioral skill acquisition and behavior reduction protocols per individualized treatment plans
• Collect, record, and summarize data on observable client behavior
• Assist with parent and caregiver training under BCBA/BC guidance
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized therapy environments
• Communicate client progress to parents and caregivers as directed by BCBA/BC

Requirements

• Current RBT certification or willingness to complete 40-hour training and pass competency exam within 45 days
• High school diploma or GED
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license where required
• Minimum age of 18
• Ability to pass a background check
• CPR, First Aid, and current TB test (or willingness to obtain)
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work on the floor, and move quickly for client safety
• Proficiency with mobile devices and digital applications for data recording
• Professional presentation, conduct, and strong communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience as a Behavioral Technician, teacher’s aide, tutor, CNA, caregiver, or home health aide
• Experience working with children with autism or other learning disabilities
