About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide direct client care in 1:1 and group settings using intensive teaching and natural environment training
- Follow behavioral skill acquisition and behavior reduction protocols as outlined in individualized treatment plans
- Collect, record, and summarize data on observable client behavior
- Assist with parent and caregiver training per BCBA/BC guidance
- Complete documentation on time and per established procedures
- Communicate client progress to parents and caregivers as instructed
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized therapy environment
- Assist BCBA/BC with client materials, assessments, and skill acquisition preparation
Requirements
- Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification from the BACB
- High school diploma or GED
- Reliable transportation
- At least 18 years of age
- Willingness to obtain CPR and First Aid certification
- Willingness to obtain an annual tuberculosis test
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical duties including floor work and quick movement
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions
- Technology proficiency to record data on mobile devices and navigate digital applications
- Good written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience as a behavioral technician, teacher's aid, tutor, CNA, caregiver, or home health aide
- Prior work with children with autism or other learning disabilities
