About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct client care in 1:1 and group settings using intensive teaching and natural environment training
  • Follow behavioral skill acquisition and behavior reduction protocols as outlined in individualized treatment plans
  • Collect, record, and summarize data on observable client behavior
  • Assist with parent and caregiver training per BCBA/BC guidance
  • Complete documentation on time and per established procedures
  • Communicate client progress to parents and caregivers as instructed
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized therapy environment
  • Assist BCBA/BC with client materials, assessments, and skill acquisition preparation

Requirements

  • Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification from the BACB
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Reliable transportation
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Willingness to obtain CPR and First Aid certification
  • Willingness to obtain an annual tuberculosis test
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical duties including floor work and quick movement
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions
  • Technology proficiency to record data on mobile devices and navigate digital applications
  • Good written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience as a behavioral technician, teacher's aid, tutor, CNA, caregiver, or home health aide
  • Prior work with children with autism or other learning disabilities
