About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide direct ABA therapy to children with autism in 1:1 and group settings
- Implement skill acquisition and behavior reduction protocols per individualized treatment plans
- Collect, record, and summarize data on observable client behavior
- Assist with parent and caregiver training under BCBA/BC supervision
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized therapy environment
- Communicate client progress to parents and caregivers as directed
Requirements
- Active RBT certification or willingness to complete 40-hour training and pass the RBT competency exam within 45 days of employment
- High school diploma or GED
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license and insurance where required
- Willingness to obtain CPR and First Aid certification and a current TB test
- Ability to pass a background check
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, move quickly, and repeatedly transition from floor to standing
- Proficiency using mobile devices and digital applications for data recording
- Professional presentation, conduct, and strong written and verbal communication
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with children with autism or other learning disabilities
- Prior role as a behavioral technician, teacher’s aide, tutor, CNA, caregiver, or home health aide
