About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct client care in 1:1 and group settings using intensive teaching and natural environment training
  • Follow behavioral skill acquisition and behavior reduction protocols per individualized treatment plans
  • Collect, record, and summarize data on observable client behavior
  • Assist with parent and caregiver training aligned with treatment protocols
  • Maintain clean, safe, and organized therapy environment
  • Communicate client progress to parents and caregivers as directed by BCBA/BC
  • Assist BCBA/BC in preparing materials, assessments, and skill acquisition plans

Requirements

  • Current RBT certification or willingness to complete 40-hour training and pass competency exam within 45 days
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Reliable transportation; valid driver’s license and insurance where required
  • Minimum age of 18
  • Willingness to obtain CPR, First Aid certification, and TB test if not current
  • Physical ability to work on the floor, stand repeatedly, lift up to 50 lbs, and move quickly for client safety
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise, detailed instructions
  • Proficiency with mobile devices and digital applications for data recording
  • Professional presentation and conduct with strong written and verbal communication
  • Ability to maintain emotional control during challenging client interactions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a behavioral technician, teacher’s aide, tutor, CNA, caregiver, or home health aide
  • Experience working with children with autism or other learning disabilities
