Regional Vice President, Public Sector Field Engineering

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a Field Engineering team supporting Federal and SLED enterprise opportunities
• Partner with Public Sector Sales leadership and AEs to drive technical discovery, demos, and POCs
• Establish best practices for evaluations and technical deal strategy accounting for FedRAMP, StateRAMP, and air-gapped environments
• Serve as an escalation point for complex customer evaluations and high-stakes public sector deals
• Hire, onboard, and develop top-tier Field Engineering talent
• Act as the voice of the field to shape the public sector product roadmap
• Partner with Legal, Security, and Compliance to ensure technical evaluations meet government requirements
• Ensure tight handoffs with post-sales teams for successful onboarding

Requirements

• 6+ years experience leading Field Engineers, Solutions Architects, or Pre-Sales teams in enterprise software
• Meaningful experience in Federal and/or SLED environments
• Direct experience navigating public sector technical evaluation processes, security authorizations, and compliance reviews
• Strong technical foundation in modern software development workflows and AI tooling
• Proven ability to partner effectively with Sales in high-scrutiny deal environments
• Strong communication skills and executive presence for engaging agency technical leadership and CTOs
• Builder mindset suitable for fast-moving startup environments
