Regional Training & Operations Technician

Responsibilities

• Operate multiple contracted client water and wastewater facilities to cover vacations and absences
• Assist in the training and development of local operations teams through hands-on visits
• Support new account start-up projects and develop operational procedures
• Perform process changes, troubleshooting, and maintenance (routine, reactive, and preventive)
• Conduct process and compliance sampling and laboratory testing
• Maintain accurate records of client data, chemical residuals, and water quality metrics
• Operate electric motors, pumps, and valves to regulate water flow
• Coordinate third-party maintenance and manage inventory for lab supplies and equipment parts

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3+ years of experience in wastewater treatment plant operations or a related field
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace
• Strong mechanical aptitude and communication skills
• Ability to travel significantly, including extended periods away from home
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including day, night, and 12-hour shifts
• Physical ability to lift up to 75 pounds and climb ladders up to 30 feet

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in a traveling work role
• Operational experience with site-specific wastewater treatment equipment
