Regional Training & Operations Technician

Responsibilities

• Provide operational coverage for contracted water and wastewater facilities during vacations and absences
• Assist in the training and development of local operations teams through hands-on visits and resource creation
• Support new account start-up projects by developing operational tasks and procedures
• Troubleshoot process issues and ensure industry best practices are followed
• Operate and control electric motors, pumps, and valves to regulate water flow
• Collect and test wastewater samples to determine concentration levels and impurities
• Perform routine, reactive, and preventive maintenance on equipment including pumps, valves, and piping
• Maintain accurate records of client data, chemical residuals, and compliance metrics

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3+ years of experience in wastewater treatment plant operations or a related field
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to travel significantly, including extended periods away from home
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in various outdoor/industrial conditions
• Flexibility to work day and night shifts, including 12-hour shifts and emergency call-ins

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Prior experience in a traveling work role
• Experience with site-specific wastewater treatment equipment
