Regional Training & Operations Technician

Responsibilities

• Provide operational coverage for contracted water and wastewater facilities during vacations and absences
• Assist in the training and development of local operations teams and technicians
• Support new account start-up projects and develop operational procedures
• Troubleshoot process issues and maintain equipment through routine and preventive maintenance
• Collect and test wastewater samples and analyze lab data for compliance
• Operate electric motors, pumps, and valves to regulate water flow
• Maintain accurate records of client data, chemical residuals, and turbidity
• Coordinate with third-party maintenance support for projects outside Veolia's scope

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3+ years of experience in wastewater treatment plant operations or a related field
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• Ability to travel significantly, including extended periods away from home
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and climb vertical ladders
• Flexibility to work day and night shifts, including 12-hour shifts and emergency call-ins

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Prior experience in a traveling work role
• Experience with site-specific wastewater treatment equipment
