Regional Technical Manager

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance, performance, and optimization of vessels and floating equipment in the Middle East
• Develop and manage multi-annual vessel budgets including repairs, dry-docking, and fuel costs
• Supervise planning and execution of preventive and corrective maintenance and technical projects
• Ensure vessels are maintained in safe, fit-for-purpose condition for optimal reliability
• Promote and enforce SHEQ (safety, health, environment, and quality) standards
• Provide technical guidance to Contract and Operations Managers
• Conduct regular vessel inspections to monitor compliance and performance
• Engage with clients and charter representatives to maintain relationships and identify business opportunities
• Support the commercial team with technical input during tendering processes
• Lead, coach, and develop the regional technical team

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Maritime Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Naval Architecture
• Minimum 8 years of technical management experience in an international maritime environment
• Experience working in the MEIS region
• Seagoing experience as Chief Engineer or First Engineer preferred
• Strong knowledge of vessel engineering and maintenance systems
• Proven leadership and management skills
• Fluency in English
• Willingness to live in the U.A.E.
