About the role
Responsibilities
- Draft and edit emails, presentations, and written communications for Regional Superintendents of Instruction
- Prepare materials, agendas, and follow-up communication for leadership meetings
- Manage weekly schedules, calendars, and travel logistics for regional leaders
- Lead regional instructional projects including collaborative scoring and professional development
- Coordinate logistics for major events, retreats, and trainings
- Track deliverables and maintain accountability across principals
- Build strong working relationships with school-based and regional teams
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- 1–2 years of relevant work experience in administrative support, operations, or project coordination
- Exceptional organization and attention to detail
- Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to travel to Uncommon Schools across NYC and the region
- Ability to perform moderate physical activity, including carrying up to 40 pounds
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a school, nonprofit, or mission-driven organization
- Experience supporting leadership teams or managing multiple stakeholder relationships
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and project management tools
