About the role
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute territory visits to existing and potential customers within the food and non-food industries
- Build and maintain professional relationships to act as a "trusted advisor" and achieve sales targets
- Manage territory customer records and activity logs using CRM systems
- Prepare accurate quotes and orders for products and services using CPQ systems
- Collaborate with engineers, managers, and office staff to ensure a joined-up approach to sales and after-sales service
- Stay appraised of industry trends, competitor offerings, and regional market issues
- Achieve monthly sales and call targets while demonstrating high standards of customer service
Requirements
- Proven B2B sales ability from initial enquiry through to order completion
- Knowledge of technical or engineering products
- Strong relationship management skills with a track record of driving repeat sales
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex information
- Proficiency in using CRM and CPQ sales process tools
