About the role

Responsibilities

  • Promote, negotiate, and sell Gleason Corporation products and services, with a primary focus on cutting tools and work holding equipment
  • Manage the Midwest sales territory through the development and implementation of strategic sales plans to increase market share
  • Build and maintain positive customer relationships through regular face-to-face visits and interactions
  • Conduct proactive analysis of customer needs and utilize problem-solving techniques to drive continuous improvement
  • Perform detailed pre-sales and post-sales follow-up, including reporting within CRM and ERP systems
  • Communicate the Voice of the Customer (VOC) back to the organization to support business planning and manufacturing goals
  • Execute extensive travel within the assigned region

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related field
  • Proven experience in field sales and marketing
  • Strong technical background and understanding of industrial processes
  • Knowledge of cylindrical and bevel gear manufacturing
  • High degree of computer literacy and proficiency with CRM/ERP systems
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Ability to work as a self-directed professional within a team environment
  • Willingness to travel extensively and relocate if necessary
