Regional Process Engineer

Responsibilities

• Implement process optimization and ensure processes run to global standards in collaboration with Plant Engineering.
• Execute new production introductions following the Innovation Process Platform (IPP).
• Engage in new product development to optimize mass production processes and transfer products to manufacturing.
• Lead or participate in process improvement projects to address quality and yield issues and reduce cycle times using PEx methodology.
• Author process improvement capability plans and complete technical reports for internal publication.
• Identify and execute improvements for manufacturing capability gaps within plants.
• Support the establishment and maintenance of a safe work environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor or Master degree in Optic, Mechanical, or Chemical/Material science.
• 5+ years of shop floor process engineering experience.
• 3+ years of international project experience involving new product development, prototyping, and optimization.
• 3+ years of project leading experience.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, particularly in statistical analysis.
• Fluency in English (both oral and written).
• Proficiency with statistical tools.

Preferred Qualifications

• DMAIC Green Belt Certification.
• PMP Certification.
• 3+ years of experience with CAD/CAM capability, specifically in fixture design or precision cutting/finishing.
• 3+ years of experience with optic product tuning and optimization (e.g., polishing, epoxy dispensing/curing).
• Knowledge of optical inspection processes such as insertion loss and core pitch.
