Regional Process Engineer

Responsibilities

• Implement process optimization and improvement programs to ensure manufacturing processes meet global standards.
• Execute new production introductions by engaging in product development and transferring processes to manufacturing.
• Lead or participate in process improvement projects to address quality and yield issues and reduce production cycle times.
• Identify manufacturing capability gaps and execute recommendations for improvement.
• Author technical reports and process improvement capability plans for internal publication.
• Support the establishment and maintenance of a safe work environment.
• Travel between Taiwan, China, and North America (approximately 25-50%) to support plant operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor or Master degree in Optic, Mechanical, or Chemical/Material Engineering.
• 5+ years of shop floor process engineering experience.
• 3+ years of international project experience involving new product development and optimization.
• 3+ years of project leadership experience.
• Strong statistical analysis skills and proficiency with statistical tools.
• Fluency in English (both oral and written).
• Proven problem-solving capabilities using methodologies such as DMAIC, KT, or TRIZ.

Preferred Qualifications

• DMAIC Green Belt certification.
• PMP certification.
• 3+ years of experience with CAD/CAM, specifically in fixture design or precision cutting/finishing.
• Experience with optic product tuning and optimization (e.g., polishing, epoxy dispensing/curing).
• Knowledge of optical inspection processes, such as insertion loss and core pitch.
