About the role

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the multi-state regional team, overseeing day-to-day site operations, scheduling, and performance management.
  • Coordinate brain donation logistics, including the informed consent process and partnership with medical examiners, hospitals, and law enforcement.
  • Oversee the handling, processing, inventory, and shipment of brain specimens in accordance with IRB protocols.
  • Develop and implement community outreach and education strategies to increase registry enrollment and program awareness.
  • Plan and execute community engagement efforts, including presentations and educational events.
  • Manage marketing materials and outreach campaigns using tools like Canva and Trello.
  • Ensure program adherence to regulatory, contractual, and IRB requirements through detailed reporting and documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in management, research studies, recruitment, donor/tissue operations, or allied health leadership.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability with direct experience supervising staff.
  • Strong skills in outreach, event planning, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Ability to manage complex schedules, multiple priorities, and rotating on-call responsibilities.
  • Ability to travel locally approximately 60% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in public health, biological sciences, marketing, or communications.
  • Experience in tissue or organ donation, social/biological research, or forensic sciences.
  • Prior experience in tissue recovery, brain health, or autopsy.
  • Experience working with military personnel, veterans, and their families.
