About the role

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to maximize the utilization of oncology products within targeted accounts across West Virginia
  • Meet or exceed sales objectives through regular field-based meetings with healthcare providers and staff
  • Drive growth by leveraging in-depth knowledge of scientific disease states, competition, and market trends
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with national opinion leaders in oncology and pathology
  • Manage territory planning and execution while staying within budget and supporting corporate objectives
  • Provide feedback to national, regional, and area teams to support accurate decision-making

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Sales, Business, Science, or a related field (or 4 years of relevant experience)
  • 5+ years of sales experience promoting complex products in medical oncology and/or diagnostics
  • 3+ years of medical sales experience in specialty areas (e.g., Buy & Bill, Medical Device, or highly clinical specialties)
  • 3+ years of experience selling in highly competitive environments
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to travel up to 75% of the time, including potential overnight and weekend travel

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience specifically in oncology selling chemo/immunotherapy or diagnostics
  • Existing strong relationships within oncology accounts in the West Virginia territory
  • Experience selling to surgeons and cancer centers
  • Knowledge of NextGen Sequencing, Minimal Residual Disease (MRD), liquid biopsy, or hereditary cancer testing
