About the role

Responsibilities

  • Represent the Deputy Commissioner or Regional Manager at FIA Center Operations meetings
  • Assist in the daily functions and operations of Benefit Access Centers and Food Stamp sites
  • Respond to inquiries from Legal Services, Council Members, and Advocates
  • Review and control written complaints from various sources and edit responses
  • Monitor Fair Hearing compliance activities and identify errors for corrective action
  • Conduct regular site visits and audits to ensure efficient and effective operations
  • Provide technical support to Center Managers to improve performance and productivity
  • Participate in staff training regarding agency policies and procedures

Requirements

  • Permanent status in the Associate Benefits Opportunity Specialist civil service title
  • High school diploma and three years of experience in social/human services or related client services
  • OR a baccalaureate degree plus eighteen months of experience as a Benefits Opportunity Specialist
  • OR a baccalaureate degree plus eighteen months of experience in social/human services
