About the role
Responsibilities
- Represent the Deputy Commissioner or Regional Manager at FIA Center Operations meetings
- Assist in the daily functions and operations of Benefit Access Centers and Food Stamp sites
- Respond to inquiries from Legal Services, Council Members, and Advocates
- Review and control written complaints from various sources and edit responses
- Monitor Fair Hearing compliance activities and identify errors for corrective action
- Conduct regular site visits and audits to ensure efficient and effective operations
- Provide technical support to Center Managers to improve performance and productivity
- Participate in staff training regarding agency policies and procedures
Requirements
- Permanent status in the Associate Benefits Opportunity Specialist civil service title
- High school diploma and three years of experience in social/human services or related client services
- OR a baccalaureate degree plus eighteen months of experience as a Benefits Opportunity Specialist
- OR a baccalaureate degree plus eighteen months of experience in social/human services
