About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide timely and practical legal advice regarding labor and employment needs for Mexico and Latin America.
  • Guide People Team members and business leaders on topics including hiring, performance management, employee relations, leaves of absence, workplace safety, and union relations.
  • Partner with investigative functions to provide legal advice related to internal investigations.
  • Oversee employment-related litigation, negotiate claim resolutions, and recommend corrective actions to senior management.
  • Manage outside counsel in the region to ensure high-quality, cost-effective legal services.
  • Prepare template agreements and review employee policies, handbooks, and training to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Monitor changes to employment and labor regulations across the region and advise relevant teams on impact and obligations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years of labor and employment law experience.
  • Bachelor of Laws Degree or equivalent.
  • Fluency in both English and Spanish is required.
  • Strong understanding of labor and employment laws in Mexico and Latin America.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience working in-house is preferred.
  • Proficiency in additional languages such as Dutch, French, German, or Polish.
