About the role
Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and conduct investigations into serious and complex cases of harassment, corruption, fraud, and sexual exploitation or abuse
- Adduce evidence, review documentation, conduct interviews, and analyze facts to determine findings
- Prepare complete and concise investigation reports and formulate recommended disciplinary or jurisdictional actions
- Manage and handle evidentiary material and coordinate with forensic institutions and legal counsel
- Determine if matters involve potential criminal conduct warranting referral to national authorities
- Perform preventive compliance activities, including providing training and advice to staff and management
Requirements
- University degree in Law, Human Resource Management, or a professional certification such as ACFE
- 6-10 years of experience in investigatory procedures and practice
- Expertise in investigation techniques, particularly regarding conduct with criminal implications
- Strong knowledge of legal, procedural, and evidentiary standards
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
Preferred Qualifications
- CFE certification or participation in specialized investigation training courses
- Experience conducting international investigations
- Previous experience investigating internal fraud, sexual harassment, or abuse of authority within international organizations
- Experience with victim handling and safeguarding activities
