Regional Industry Manager, FIG, South Asia

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the regional strategy for the Financial Institutions Group (FIG) in partnership with regional and industry management.
• Lead business development efforts, building high-level client relationships and turning leads into complex investment deals.
• Oversee transaction processing and act as Transaction Manager, providing operational guidance and rigorous quality control.
• Manage the regional FIG portfolio, including debt and equity assets, ensuring profitability and sustainable development impact.
• Monitor portfolio risk, manage valuations, and develop exit strategies for equity assets.
• Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing team, providing administrative and HR oversight.
• Coordinate with World Bank Group counterparts and other IFC departments to identify collaboration opportunities and enhance business delivery.

Requirements

• Master's degree in business, finance, or an equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of 12 years of relevant experience within the financial sector.
• Deep knowledge of capital markets and experience sourcing and structuring complex investment transactions.
• Proven expertise in portfolio and asset management, including supervision of loans, equities, and guarantees.
• Demonstrated experience in managing and developing professional teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a matrix organization.
