Regional Industry Manager, FIG, MCA

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the FIG strategy for the Middle East, Pakistan, and Afghanistan in alignment with WBG Country Partnership Frameworks.
• Lead business development efforts, building high-level client relationships and turning leads into complex investment transactions.
• Manage the regional FIG portfolio, including debt and equity, ensuring profitability, risk mitigation, and sustainable development impact.
• Act as Transaction Manager, providing operational guidance and rigorous quality control on team outputs.
• Monitor portfolio risk, oversee valuations, and develop exit strategies for equity assets.
• Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing team, providing administrative and HR oversight.
• Coordinate with WBG Knowledge Bank, Treasury, Legal, Risk, and other regional departments to enhance business delivery.

Requirements

• Master's degree in business, finance, or an equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 12 years of relevant experience within the financial sector.
• Deep knowledge of capital markets and experience sourcing and structuring complex investment transactions.
• Proven expertise in portfolio and asset management, including supervision of loans, equities, and guarantees.
• Demonstrated experience in managing and developing professional teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a matrix environment.
