Regional Head of Property Facultative

Responsibilities

• Lead the Midwest/West Region in developing strategic business plans, including capacity, underwriting appetite, and growth opportunities.
• Manage core client relationships and build strong broker connections to drive organic premium growth.
• Oversee property facultative underwriting for both individual risks and automatics.
• Perform comprehensive risk analyses, including exposure evaluation, aggregation, and scenario testing.
• Assist in retrocessional planning and strategy development in partnership with senior leadership.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to underwriters through direct and matrix leadership.
• Collaborate with Claims, Actuarial, Cat/Exposure Management, and Finance teams to ensure portfolio health.
• Represent the company at industry conferences and through client on-site visits.

Requirements

• 10-12 years of experience in Property Facultative underwriting.
• Proven managerial experience leading teams and driving performance.
• Deep knowledge of individual risk, automatics, and retrocessional planning.
• Strong analytical abilities for detailed risk assessments and scenario testing.
• Exceptional negotiation and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to travel as required.

Preferred Qualifications

• ARe or CPCU designation.
