Regional Director of Business Development

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a regional census growth strategy across six skilled nursing facilities in Maryland
• Build and maintain strong referral relationships with hospitals, case managers, and physicians
• Identify and pursue new referral sources and admission channels to drive patient flow
• Hire, train, and manage a team of marketing liaisons and business development representatives
• Strengthen hospital discharge partnerships through consistent in-person engagement
• Work with facility administrators and clinical teams to ensure smooth admissions processes
• Monitor census trends, referral patterns, and competitor activity to adjust strategy
• Travel regularly between Baltimore City and suburban/northern Maryland locations

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in business development, admissions, or marketing leadership within skilled nursing or long-term care
• Established network within the Maryland healthcare market, specifically in Baltimore and surrounding counties
• Proven track record of driving census growth and improving occupancy in post-acute settings
• Experience managing hospital liaisons, marketers, or admissions teams
• Strong understanding of hospital discharge processes and payer mix dynamics (Medicare, Medicaid)
• Ability to travel regularly across multiple facilities and markets within the region
