Regional Director, Forward Deployed Engineering

Responsibilities

• Own the full arc from technical discovery to executive close, partnering with Sales and Account teams to qualify opportunities and lead architecture reviews
• Build and present proposals that translate ambiguous customer problems into concrete, time-boxed deliverables with clear ROI
• Serve as executive technical sponsor on high-priority engagements and manage stakeholder relationships from IC engineers to C-suite
• Ensure delivery quality across projects through appropriate scoping, milestone tracking, and technical standards
• Identify and escalate product gaps and recurring customer pain back to Product and Engineering
• Lead, develop, and scale a team of 6–8 Forward Deployed Engineers
• Hire top-tier talent and set clear technical performance standards and career growth paths
• Build and scale the partner FDE track by training and enabling GSI and consulting partners

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience leading technical teams that build and ship in production (Forward Deployed Engineering, Solutions Engineering, or similar)
• Experience with software development and coding in Python and Javascript/Typescript
• Proven experience building and owning AI-native workflows in production and debugging real-world model failures
• Ability to diagnose complex enterprise engineering environments and identify high-leverage interventions
• Experience building and scaling IC-level technical teams
