About the role

Responsibilities

  • Drive growth of broker-influenced sales in the Los Angeles market by partnering with local leadership and the career agency distribution channel.
  • Increase profitable sales and new client acquisition in Public Sector and commercial markets.
  • Target specific broker relationships and personally engage with them to drive new client sales opportunities.
  • Act as a strategic business partner to field agents during presentations for prospective and existing customers.
  • Partner with Territory Sales Managers to create and execute business plans aligned with regional and national goals.
  • Train and develop the sales hierarchy on the Colonial Life value proposition, brokerage differentiators, and marketing programs.
  • Manage and document broker engagements and client pipelines within the company CRM platform.
  • Participate in broker meetings, forums, conferences, trade shows, and educational lunch & learns.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • 8+ years of Broker sales or marketing experience, preferably in worksite or voluntary benefits.
  • Ability to travel 50% to 75% of the time.
  • Current insurance license or the ability to obtain one within 45 days of hire.
  • Strong communication, influencing, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities.
