About the role
Responsibilities
- Drive the growth and expansion of the aHUS portfolio within assigned territories
- Manage sales territories including Academic Centers, Community Hospital Systems, Physician Clinics, and Infusion Centers
- Achieve or exceed sales objectives by creating strategically targeted account-specific business plans
- Develop and maintain in-depth clinical, technical, and scientific knowledge of products and disease states
- Collaborate with internal cross-functional stakeholders, including Medical Science Liaisons and Market Access teams
- Educate clinicians on clinical approaches to specific disease states to support successful differential diagnosis
- Implement a patient-centric partnership model involving physicians, staff, and hospitals
- Utilize CRM tools to manage workload, track sales activities, and submit required reports
- Execute local promotional activities and provide high-level product expertise to all accounts
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- 5 years of pharmaceutical sales, biotech, or medical device experience (or 5 years in a medical setting)
- Proven track record of delivering consistent sales results in institutions and hospital systems
- Strong clinical acumen and account-based selling skills
- Ability to develop professional relationships with healthcare providers in community and academic centers
- Must live in the geographic territory or within 50 miles of the territory border
- Ability to travel frequently within the territory, including overnight and weekend travel
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced or Master's degree
- Experience in orphan or ultra-orphan therapeutic areas
- Background in Nephrology, Oncology, or Bio/Pharma sales
