Refurbishment Technician

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and process incoming electronic equipment
• Create detailed asset reports recording manufacturer, model, and serial numbers
• Identify computer components including processors, RAM, HDD, and SSD
• Remove storage drives from desktops, laptops, and servers
• Operate hard drive and SSD shredding equipment
• Test electronics to determine functionality and resale potential
• Use hand and power tools to disassemble equipment
• Label equipment and containers to maintain chain of custody
• Assist with loading, unloading, and staging equipment in the warehouse
• Travel to customer locations for on-site asset processing projects

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Knowledge of computer hardware and components
• Ability to use hand and power tools
• Ability to lift and move electronic equipment
• Willingness to travel for customer projects
• Ability to pass a background check

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in IT asset disposition (ITAD), refurbishment, or electronic recycling
• Experience with inventory or asset tracking software
• Forklift experience
