About the role
Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and process incoming electronic equipment
- Create detailed asset reports recording manufacturer, model, and serial numbers
- Identify computer components including processors, RAM, HDD, and SSD
- Remove storage drives from desktops, laptops, and servers
- Operate hard drive and SSD shredding equipment
- Test electronics to determine functionality and resale potential
- Use hand and power tools to disassemble equipment
- Label equipment and containers to maintain chain of custody
- Assist with loading, unloading, and staging equipment in the warehouse
- Travel to customer locations for on-site asset processing projects
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Knowledge of computer hardware and components
- Ability to use hand and power tools
- Ability to lift and move electronic equipment
- Willingness to travel for customer projects
- Ability to pass a background check
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in IT asset disposition (ITAD), refurbishment, or electronic recycling
- Experience with inventory or asset tracking software
- Forklift experience
