Refrigeration Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, testing, repair, and replacement of food service equipment and general fixtures including electrical, refrigeration, heating, and plumbing systems.
• Conduct routine preventative maintenance and inspections for food service and building equipment.
• Monitor and troubleshoot HVAC efficiencies using BAS and DDC controls.
• Maintain accurate records of scheduled and reactive maintenance through CMMS software.
• Manage parts ordering, inventory, and the maintenance budget.
• Assist with building renovation and remodeling projects.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to respond to emergency maintenance requests.
• Identify and correct potential safety hazards to maintain an organized workspace.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 5 years of experience in food service equipment maintenance.
• EPA refrigeration certification.
• Valid Iowa driver's license (must be insurable to drive).
• Proficiency with hand and power tools, testing, and calibration.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience with CMMS (Computer Maintenance Management System).
• Experience with BAS (Building Automation Systems).
• Strong customer service skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
