Refrigeration Technician

Responsibilities

• Respond to radio calls from production, food safety, and safety departments for maintenance actions
• Troubleshoot and repair complex problems on all production equipment
• Document daily work in paper logs and the SAP maintenance management system
• Utilize inventory parts to repair equipment and follow documentation procedures
• Identify operational problems and suggest improvements to processes
• Perform equipment modifications to improve performance
• Contact equipment vendors for troubleshooting assistance and part quotes
• Use hand tools to perform maintenance on production machinery
• Ensure food safety, quality, cleanliness, and housekeeping standards are met
• Communicate with other maintenance shifts to ensure proper pass-down of issues

Requirements

• Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
• Must be 18 years or older
• Proficiency in English (reading and writing)
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to perform basic TIG welding

Preferred Qualifications

• RETA (Refrigeration Engineers & Technicians) or IIAR (International Institute of Ammonia Refrigeration) training and certification
• Previous experience with regulated Process Safety Management (PSM) programs
• Electrical or mechanical experience
• Experience with boilers or air compressors
