Refrigeration Technician

Responsibilities

• Maintain customers’ refrigeration systems
• Work on RTUs and HVAC systems
• Inspect system components including compressors, condensers, evaporators, fan motors, fans, and expansion valves
• Perform system checks, troubleshooting, and refrigerant recovery
• Perform electrical and gas system troubleshooting
• Maintain records including daily service logs, refrigerant recovery reports, and service records
• Research and resolve complex system problems
• Complete assigned paperwork and forms
• Conduct safety inspections and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Previous experience as an HVAC/Refrigeration technician
• HVAC certification
• Braising and soldering skills
• Knowledge of local building codes
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and compliance schematics
• Advanced mechanical and diagnostic skills
• Ability to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions
• Physically fit and able to lift heavy equipment
• Clean Class 5 SK Driver’s License and abstract
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Outlook and mobile applications
