Refrigeration Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Oversee the maintenance and repair of ammonia refrigeration systems and cooling/air handling machinery
• Supervise a team of 6-8 refrigeration employees, including hiring, training, and performance management
• Maintain critical temperature requirements throughout the facility to meet plant and USDA specifications
• Manage and maintain accurate preventative maintenance (PM) schedules and equipment records
• Enforce safety rules and ensure compliance with Process Safety Management (PSM) and government regulations
• Maintain accurate documentation for local, state, and federal inspections

Requirements

• 5 years of experience with ammonia refrigeration systems
• Proven experience with Process Safety Management (PSM)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and knowledge of ERP software
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents, safety rules, and maintenance manuals
• Ability to pass a background investigation for a safety-sensitive position

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• Electrical experience
