About the role
Responsibilities
- Reline ladles and vessels for iron and steel making using bricklaying and other refractory installation techniques
- Carry out refractory installation and repairs of Blast Furnace troughs
- Spray refractory materials using gunning techniques
- Contribute to a safe working environment by ensuring safety standards are strictly maintained
- Learn to operate forklifts and overhead cranes through internal and external training
Requirements
- Certificate III in Bricklaying
- High attention to detail and the ability to multi-task in a highly physical environment
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build constructive relationships
- Commitment to the safety of yourself and others
- Ability to work independently while contributing to the team's success
