Responsibilities
- Process referral requests from providers
- Schedule appointments at referral sites
- Obtain pre-authorizations and insurance referral approvals
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure efficient patient information transfer
Requirements
- At least two years of medical clinic experience
- Exposure to insurance verification and authorization fundamentals
- Medium to expert level proficiency in Microsoft products
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) software
- Previous experience with medical coding
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC)
- Certified Medical Administrative Assistant (CMAA)
- Certified Billing and Coding Specialist (CBCS)
