About the role
Responsibilities
- Assist customers with the recycling of bottles, cans, and plastic beverage containers
- Count beverage containers manually or utilize technology to process returns
- Process customer transactions using a cash register
- Organize and store processed bottles and cans in an orderly fashion
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment across all redemption center areas
Requirements
- Previous experience in a customer service role
- Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, and multiplication
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
- Availability to work weekends (Thursday through Sunday)
- Reliable transportation to the Amsterdam, NY location
