About the role

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily food production, service, ordering, and inventory management
  • Prepare soups, sandwiches, pastas, proteins, and fish
  • Train staff and ensure adherence to food safety standards
  • Monitor and record food temperatures and maintain health and safety compliance

Requirements

  • Red Seal Certification
  • Minimum 5 years of food service industry experience
  • Valid Food Safety certification
  • Strong leadership and exceptional knife skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to pass a Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC) level 3
  • Ability to remain at the lodge for the full duration of the contract (June-August)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in large-volume scratch cooking
  • Experience with inventory management and weekly food ordering
