Responsibilities

• Safely operate copper shredding, sorting, baling, and hydrometallurgical processing equipment
• Inspect, sort, and grade incoming copper scrap according to chemical and physical specifications
• Perform routine preventative maintenance, cleaning, and basic mechanical troubleshooting
• Accurately record production data and material metrics using digital dashboards
• Operate and program numerical control (CNC) equipment for localized machining and part fabrication
• Adhere to all environmental, health, and safety protocols including PPE and Lockout/Tagout
• Collaborate with engineering teams to identify continuous improvement opportunities

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Hands-on experience in industrial, manufacturing, or heavy assembly environments
• Mechanical aptitude with ability to identify machine faults
• Ability to read and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for up to 12-hour shifts
• Ability to wear required PPE including respirators (PAPR)
