Recruiting Lead

Harper is an AI-native commercial insurance company in San Francisco. We're rebuilding the entire business as software, turning expert human judgment into compute to transform a trillion-dollar industry.

Responsibilities

• Close candidates directly by sourcing, screening, selling, and closing across engineering, sales, and GTM
• Own technical recruiting and maintain a deep mental map of the talent landscape
• Build infrastructure for 10x growth, including repeatable sourcing strategies and structured interview processes
• Expand recruiting pipelines into GTM and operations
• Partner directly with founders on long-term hiring strategy
• Hire and manage a team of recruiters as the company scales

Requirements

• 6–10 years in recruiting, including scaling through rapid growth (Series A–C)
• 2+ years managing recruiting teams of 3+
• Demonstrated ability to source, sell, and close technical talent directly
• Experience building recruiting processes that survive 10x growth
• Based in San Francisco or willing to relocate
• Ability to work on-site in San Francisco, Monday–Friday

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience at companies that scaled from 30 to 200+ employees
• Recruiting experience for AI-native or technical sales organizations
• Experience in employer branding and recruiting content
• Experience building recruiting teams from scratch
