Requirements
High School Diploma or G.E.D., Valid driver's license, First Aid certification, Adult/Child CPR with AED certification
About the role
Responsibilities
- Serve as a front-line representative for the Department of Recreation in indoor and outdoor settings
- Register patrons for various programs and promote community events
- Lead or monitor activities including arts and crafts, fitness, sports, and camps
- Manage recreational equipment and maintain light facility cleanliness
- Support program delivery through supervision, scorekeeping, and officiating games
- Enforce center policies and adhere to all safety protocols
- Maintain accurate records and apply emergency skills as needed
Requirements
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to obtain First Aid and Adult/Child CPR with AED certification within 150 days of appointment
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree in Recreation, Sports Management, Sociology, Psychology, Communication, or Education
- At least 500 hours of experience in recreational programming within public or private agencies
