Recreation Attendant

Responsibilities

• Provide warm, engaging, and authentically local personalized service to guests at the beach and pool
• Assist guests with needs including issuing towels, chaise lounge setup, and cabana setup
• Distribute and provide instruction for snorkel gear, surfboards, boogie boards, and kayaks
• Maintain cleanliness by picking up used towels and debris from beach and pool deck areas
• Promote wellness and recreation offers to maximize sales revenue
• Perform opening and closing side duties according to standards
• Maintain high standards of personal appearance and hygiene

Requirements

• Ability to share Hawaiian culture and lifestyle with guests
• Strong focus on guest needs with a calm and courteous demeanor
• Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and oral)
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Valid Driver’s License
• Ability to meet State and Federal requirements for recreation (Tuberculosis Clearance)

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic understanding of local languages ('Olelo Hawai’i)
• Certifications in Lifeguarding, First Aid, CPR, or AED
