Recreation Assistant

Responsibilities

• Set up, take down, and store sports equipment and furniture
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation standards across the facility
• Assist with daily safety checks and health and safety compliance
• Act as a keyholder to open and close the Spearpoint Pavilion
• Monitor equipment condition and report maintenance needs
• Support the sale of food and beverages
• Welcome visitors and handle enquiries, bookings, and memberships
• Operate booking, till, and membership systems
• Replenish stock and vending machines

Requirements

• Good communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
• Awareness of health and safety procedures

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a leisure, recreation, or sports environment
• Experience as a keyholder
• Knowledge of safeguarding and equality in sport
• NVQ Level 2 in Sport & Active Leisure
• First Aid at Work certificate
