Recovery Technician

Responsibilities

• Attend to the safety and wellbeing of patients in an adult inpatient facility
• Observe patient behaviors and communicate significant observations to clinical staff
• Maintain daily schedules including transport, meals, and transition times
• Provide patient observation rounds and monitor activities during scheduled shifts
• Promote and attend recreational outings and activities with patients
• Ensure facility cleanliness and upkeep under leadership direction
• Oversee safe transport of patients to and from facilities
• Assist with orientation of new admissions and selected group sessions
• Utilize de-escalation skills and maintain professional boundaries
• Document client care and behavior according to established policies
• Assist counseling and administrative staff in emergency situations

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
• 1+ year of relevant work experience
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to implement and interpret department programs and policies
• Ability to organize and prioritize competing demands
• Knowledge of the surrounding geographic area for effective routing

Preferred Qualifications

• De-escalation techniques
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
