About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide psychosocial support to clients aged 16-65 to help them achieve recovery goals.
- Empower clients to manage their mental health, make informed decisions, and build confidence.
- Enhance coping skills, reduce self-harm, and support daily living activities.
- Strengthen social skills and networks, including family and community connections.
- Support clients in accessing education, vocational training, and employment.
- Encourage healthy lifestyles and reduce harmful behaviors.
- Manage a caseload of clients to resolve or reduce barriers to stable self-care.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including Case Managers and peer workers, to design and review recovery plans.
Requirements
- Bachelor qualification in Mental Health, Community Health, or an equivalent field.
- Proven experience working as a Case Worker within a mental health setting.
- Strong understanding of the Social Model of Health and mental health service interventions.
- Knowledge of the vulnerabilities experienced by people with psychosocial disabilities.
- Current Australian Driver's Licence.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with clients, carers, and external stakeholders.
