Recovery Support Worker

Responsibilities

• Provide psychosocial support to clients aged 16-65 to help them achieve recovery goals.
• Empower clients to manage their mental health, make informed decisions, and build confidence.
• Enhance coping skills, reduce self-harm, and support daily living activities.
• Strengthen social skills and networks, including family and community connections.
• Support clients in accessing education, vocational training, and employment.
• Encourage healthy lifestyles and reduce harmful behaviors.
• Manage a caseload of clients to resolve or reduce barriers to stable self-care.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including Case Managers and peer workers, to design and review recovery plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor qualification in Mental Health, Community Health, or an equivalent field.
• Proven experience working as a Case Worker within a mental health setting.
• Strong understanding of the Social Model of Health and mental health service interventions.
• Knowledge of the vulnerabilities experienced by people with psychosocial disabilities.
• Current Australian Driver's Licence.
• Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with clients, carers, and external stakeholders.
