Recovery Nurse

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive post-procedure nursing care, including patient handover, monitoring, and safe discharge from the recovery area
• Monitor patients’ vital signs and overall condition, ensuring timely identification and management of any changes
• Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the recovery process
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to support continuity of care and efficient patient flow
• Prepare and maintain recovery area equipment and supplies in accordance with safety standards
• Provide patient and family education on post-procedure care and discharge instructions
• Follow infection control, patient safety, and quality standards in line with organizational policies

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or equivalent
• Valid DOH/DHA/MOH license or DOH eligibility
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience
• BLS and ACLS certification required

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in an Operating Theatre setting
