Recovery Assistant (Furniture Assembler)

Responsibilities

• Handle and administer returned and transferred products to minimize loss and maximize profit
• Maintain a clean, tidy, and organized store environment while keeping tools and equipment in good condition
• Provide sincere customer service by listening to complaints and offering solutions
• Re-pack, label, and price recovered items to prepare them for resale
• Upsell recovered merchandise by promoting product knowledge and quality
• Collaborate with other departments to support recovery processes, revenue, and sustainability
• Observe internal rules, policies, and operational procedures to ensure workplace safety

Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience in a fast-paced retail environment
• Ability to meet physical demands including lifting/moving 5-10kg and performing carpentry work
• Strong interpersonal skills and confidence in dealing with customers
• Organized with high attention to detail
• Ability to remain calm and assertive when dealing with emotional customers in stressful conditions
• Computer literacy
• Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays
