Reconditioning Cutting Tools Technician

Responsibilities

• Work onsite at assigned customer accounts to collect critical test data.
• Collect and analyze data related to cutting speeds, feeds, chip load, chip thickness, and coating characteristics.
• Identify opportunities for efficiency gains to drive customer profitability.
• Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Product Management teams to promote a value-based selling approach.
• Build gross sales revenue (GSR) within identified accounts in the USA and Canada.

Requirements

• Machinist trades certificate from an accredited Vocational Technical school.
• At least three years of manual or CNC machining experience.
• Deep knowledge of cutting tool types and tool wear characteristics.
• Technical understanding of chip thickness and the relationship between speeds and feeds.
• General knowledge of manufacturing processes, including metal cutting, composites cutting, drilling, reaming, and tapping.
