About the role
Responsibilities
- Greet clients and inquire about the purpose of their visit
- Provide initial information regarding firm services and lawyer availability
- Obtain and record preliminary client information for lawyers and legal assistants
- Manage telephone calls using PABX systems, including transferring and taking messages
- Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence following established protocols
- Oversee office supplies, equipment, and vendor relationships
- Maintain tidy conference and shared spaces for client meetings
- Assist attorneys and paralegals with various clerical duties
Requirements
- Entry level office experience, preferably in a legal environment
- Knowledge of general office practices
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and ProDoc
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
