About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide a professional and efficient welcome to all guests upon arrival.
  • Manage guest check-in and check-out services, ensuring all registration details are updated in the system.
  • Handle guest requests, room changes, and inquiries throughout their stay.
  • Process reservations, room upgrades, and promote high-rated room categories.
  • Perform cash handling, currency exchanges, and ensure accurate billing and credit card processing.
  • Maintain clear communication with the housekeeping and guest relations departments.
  • Monitor the log book and handover notes to ensure continuity of service.
  • Adhere to all hotel fire, safety, and health regulations, including COSHH.
  • Maintain high standards of personal grooming and professional appearance.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a hotel front office or reception role.
  • Proficiency in handling guest check-in/out and reservation systems.
  • Strong experience with cash handling and financial transactions.
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer-first attitude.
  • Knowledge of hotel procedures and fire/safety compliance.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
