About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide a professional and efficient welcome to all guests upon arrival.
- Manage guest check-in and check-out services, ensuring all registration details are updated in the system.
- Handle guest requests, room changes, and inquiries throughout their stay.
- Process reservations, room upgrades, and promote high-rated room categories.
- Perform cash handling, currency exchanges, and ensure accurate billing and credit card processing.
- Maintain clear communication with the housekeeping and guest relations departments.
- Monitor the log book and handover notes to ensure continuity of service.
- Adhere to all hotel fire, safety, and health regulations, including COSHH.
- Maintain high standards of personal grooming and professional appearance.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a hotel front office or reception role.
- Proficiency in handling guest check-in/out and reservation systems.
- Strong experience with cash handling and financial transactions.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-first attitude.
- Knowledge of hotel procedures and fire/safety compliance.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
