About the role
Responsibilities
- Welcome and register guests upon arrival, answer telephone calls, and respond to queries
- Manage guest departures, process reservations, promote room sales, and carry out front office administration
- Execute administrative and accounting tasks to required standards while maintaining internal controls
- Safeguard revenues and ensure correct collection, processing, and storage of documentation
- Build professional relationships with guests, travel agents, corporate clients, and tour operators
- Carry out additional duties as requested by senior management
Requirements
- Grade 12 and computer literacy, particularly Microsoft Office Suite
- Familiarity with phone systems and Property Management Systems (PMS)
- Knowledge of administrative procedures and health and safety regulations
- Strong customer service, verbal and written communication, and conflict management skills
- Service-oriented, customer-centric, proactive, accountable, collaborative, detail-focused, and assertive
- Ability to handle money and company funds; subject to fraud and credit check
- Willingness to work long hours, shifts, and nights as required by the hospitality industry
- Capacity to manage physical demands including prolonged sitting, walking, standing, and manual handling

- Front office or reception experience
