Receiving Manager

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the unloading and stocking of inbound shipments to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Manage warehouse space optimization and maintain a clean, orderly environment.
• Provide mentorship, direction, and performance appraisals to a team of hourly associates.
• Communicate with receiving clerks, headquarters, and drivers regarding delivery status and schedule changes.
• Research and resolve issues related to purchase orders and receiving documentation.
• Ensure all freight claims and receiving correspondence are completed with high attention to detail.
• Promote safe work practices and resolve identified safety concerns.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives and establish performance standards for the team.

Requirements

• Strong background in warehouse operations and logistics.
• Proven experience in management, supervision, or people leadership.
• Solid understanding of OSHA regulations.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to prioritize workloads and meet timelines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in a Warehouse Management or Warehouse Supervisor role.
• Direct experience with receiving, inbound processes, and inventory management.
